Ruby's Happy Home Tail

It’s a roller coaster of emotions that we experience when we entrust the care of one our beloved foster dogs to their new family. Especially when that pooch is a particularly special case who needed extra time, care and love.

Ruby immediately caught the eye of Mandy and Mike, a devoted pair of Adelaide based oodle lovers who fell head over heels for our girl.

From Mandy & Mike:

Day one has been a resounding success. Our little girl has had such a lovely day.

Zoomies in the yard with Arlo. Big sleeps on the couch, and we went for a walk this afternoon and were game enough to call in to introduce Ruby to friends.

So then it was zoomies in their backyard which has big ups and downs.

She has the most beautiful manners. Walks so well on lead, and after dinner, and a cuddle on our bed, she is now sound asleep. Gosh we all adore her, and thank you so very much.

From Ruby to Foster Carer Emma:

Good morning my Emma!

I miss you and my lovely foster family so much, but I think that things will be ok here.

 It was a very long drive but I was a good girl. There were storms with lots of wind and rain but I wasn’t even scared.

My new brother Arlo and old uncle Buddy were very excited to meet me. They were very gentle and patient.

New daddy turned the outside lights on and we sniffed all the sniffs and I saw a possum.

At bedtime I was nervous and a bit scared to come inside. New mummy sat by the door and spoke to me quietly and daddy gave me cheese.

I don’t need to be nervous, and it was ok in the bedroom. Arlo and I jumped on the bed for a little while, then we jumped down and I spent a little time on my bed with your smell on your shirt - then I found the couch - and it was soooo comfy!

We all had cuddles on the bed this morning and Arlo brought me his favourite toy.

I ate all of my breakfast and had my pills, and now we are protecting the house from predators. Stay tuned….
